Lying south west of Paris, Le Golf National home of the 2018 Ryder Cup and a Top 100 course in Europe was developed to become the home of the Open de France which took place at the club for the first time in 1991.

With the objective made clear, the architect of Le Golf National’s three courses Hubert Chesneau created his masterpiece, the 18 hole Albatros course combining several classic elements consisting to form a golf course able to host great championships with ideal conditions for players as well as spectators and media alike. The Albatros course’s main challenge is the required diversity of shots. The course has traits of a links course while demanding aggressive and bold-on-target shots due to the strategically placed water hazards and bunkers.
